MAS LA FERRERIA HOTEL****
Mas La Ferreria Hotel dates from the end of the XIV century and today it is a small hotel completely renovated, with all the comforts. It is located in the Vall de Bianya, next to the Romanesque church of Santa Margarida de Bianya.
This small charming hotel in La Garrotxa has 8 unique and comfortable rooms to enjoy rest and tranquility, with the nature that surrounds them. All of them have vicoelastic mattresses beds, rain shower systems and Egyptian cotton linen. They have TV, safe-diposit box and free wiffi.
The lounge-bar, which was one of the blocks where the cows were kept, is a perfect place to enjoy reading.
The Hotel Mas La Ferreria has a large garden with a saltwater pool, which merges with the forest and the meadows where the cows graze.
This hotel in Vall de Bianya offers traditional cuisine with local products in a quiet and pleasant environment, so you have the option of staying for dinner at the Mas.
The accommodation is located about 20 minutes far from the Vol de Coloms facilities.
We will meet you early in the morning (between 6:30 a.m and 8 a.m, according to the season) at Vol de Coloms facilities to take you up in the hot-air balloon over the volcanoes of La Garrotxa Volcanic Zone Natural Park.
Have a cup of coffee and some pastry before the balloon flight, which lasts around 1h 30 min.
All our baskets have a door so, they are accessible to all kinds of public.
As the balloon is carried by the wind and you contemplate a bird’s-eye view of the landscape, you can sip a glass of cava and try a slice of coca de llardons, a savoury local cake.
Once back on solid ground, our ground team, who have been following our flight, pick us up in a 4×4 vehicle and take us to enjoy a hearty cooked breakfast of bread and tomato, Santa Pau haricot beans and botifarra a catalan national dish, desserts from Cooperativa la Fageda, wine and ratafia, a local herbal liquor.
Finally, we give you a flight diploma, signed by the pilot.
