BALLOON FLIGHT

Come and enjoy the experience of fly in a hot-air balloon over La Garrotxa Volcanic Zone Natural Park.

Ideal for nature-lovers and for those searching for new sensations, a hot-air balloon flight gives you a 360º bird’s-eye view of the landscape below.

On clear days, the views stretch from Montserrat to the Mediterranean Sea, with the Pyrenees in the background and the dormant volcanoes below.

The activity begins early in the morning (between 6:30 a.m. and 8:00 a.m., according to the season) in Vol de Coloms facilities, next to Croscat volcano.

You enjoy a cup of coffee and a pastry meanwhile we are preparing the hot air balloons. Take as many photos as you wish or help us as the balloon inflates like a majestic colorful sail.

All our baskets have a door so, they are accessible to all kinds of public.

We are in the air for between 1 h and 1h 30 min. During the flight, we drink a toast with pink cava, which symbolizes the color of the volcanoes below and try a slice of coca de llardons, a delicious local savory cake.

The flight is perfect for taking aerial photos that will provide you with a memory for life.

Once back on solid ground, our ground team, who have been following our flight, pick us up in a 4×4 vehicle and take us to enjoy a hearty cooked breakfast of bread and tomato, Santa Pau haricot beans and botifarra a Catalan national dish, desserts from Cooperativa la Fageda, wine and ratafia, a local herbal liquor.

Finally, we give you a flight diploma, signed by the pilot.

CARRIAGES IN LA FAGEDA D'EN JORDÀ

The adventure continues, with a horse carriage in a beech forest. It is located within the Natural Park of the Garrotxa Volcanic Zone and sits on the lava flow of the Croscat volcano.

La Fageda d'en Jordà becomes unique for its location and altitude respect to the sea. It is located at 550 meters when in reality these forests are at higher altitudes.

You will go into this fantastic beech forest where in spring you will enjoy the contrasts of greenish colors and their leafiness and in autumn you will be surrounded by the warm colors of their leaves.

With horse-drawn carriages, you will go through its interior knowing its history and its surroundings.

It is an hour's walk where, as Joan Maragall's poem says, "it will take you to a sweet forgetfulness of the whole world in the silence of that deep place."
