Family hot air balloon, an adventure to enjoy with your children. Enjoy the unforgettable experience of flying over the volcanoes of La Garrotxa in a hot air balloon, a truly memorable sensation and emotion. The activity begins bright and early in the morning (between 06:30 a.m. and 8:00 a.m., according to the season) in Vol de Coloms facilities, next to Croscat volcano. First of all, we invite the parents to drink a cup of coffee and the children to drink a glass of chocolate milk or fruit juice. In addition, you can eat some pastry meanwhile we are preparing the hot air balloons. All the family is always impressed by the sight of the balloon, like an enormous multi-coloured sail. All our baskets have a door so, they are accessible to all kinds of public. Family hot air balloon lasts approximately 1 hour to 1 hour 30 min. The wind decide our flight path. The movement of the balloon in the air is gentle and imperceptible and the sensation that you have is one of absolute calm, peace, quiet and safety. As you enjoy the bird’s eye view over the volcanoes, we make a toast of cava and a soft drink for the kids and taste a slice of coca de llardons, a local cake. Don’t forget to bring along your camera and let your children take all the aerial photos. Children love seeing animals and houses from above and this is probably their first such experience. They delight in seeing the cows and lambs below and being able to fly for a while above the birds. A hot air balloon it’s a great way of discover the volcanoes and explain how they were formed. Once back on land, you see how we deflate the balloon. Our ground team, who have been following our hot air balloon, pick us up in a 4×4 vehicle and take us to enjoy a hearty cooked breakfast of bread with tomato, Santa Pau haricot beans and "botifarra", a Catalan national dish, desserts from Cooperativa la Fageda, wine, coffee and ratafia, a local herbal liquor. During the meal you can discuss the emotions you have felt during the flight with the pilot and the other passengers. Finally, we give you a flight certificate, signed by the pilot. A truly unique souvenir!
