Casa Marcial Hotel, in Besalú, is located just 100 m from the medieval and well-known bridge.

This hotel is a restored neoclassical, comfortable and charming accommodation located in a quiet and privileged place in the historic center of the town.

Its 12 modern rooms have air conditioning, free Wi-Fi and a flat-screen TV. All have a private bathroom with a hairdryer, bathrobe and toiletries.

They are distributed in 2 buildings. The main one is catalogued and dates from the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

The garden has a surface of more than 1,200 m² with remains of a wall from the 10th century, the Romanesque apse of the collegiate church of Santa María from the 12th century and remains of the wall from the same period.

At the Casa Marcial Hotel, in Besalú, we find a swimming pool with a design integrated into the surroundings of the medieval remains.

Before going to dinner you can stroll around the town and discover its heritage with the emblematic romanesque bridge, the synagogue and the micvé.

Also well-known are the monastery of San Pedro, the main square with its arcades and the church of San Vicenç. It is considered one of the most important medieval complexes in Catalonia.

The hotel has a restaurant, El Capitell, where you have the option of trying their dishes made with local products.

The accommodation is located about 25 minutes far from the Vol de Coloms facilities.

BALLON FLIGHT

The next day a spectacular activity awaits you! Ride in a hot-air balloon and enjoy the landscape of La Garrotxa Volcanic Zone Natural Park.

Once at Vol de Coloms facilities, between 6:30 a.m and 8 a.m (according to the season), have a cup of coffee and some pastry as you participate in the preparation of the flight: the setting and inflation of the hot-air balloon.

All our baskets have a door so, they are accessible to all kind of public.

The balloon flight lasts about 1h 30 min and, during the trip, we enjoy a glass of cava and a slice of a savoury local cake, coca de llardons, as we contemplate the wonderful 360º view from the balloon.

Once back on solid ground, our ground team, who have been following our flight, pick us up in a 4×4 vehicle and take us to enjoy a hearty cooked breakfast of bread and tomato, Santa Pau haricot beans and botifarra a catalan national dish, desserts from Cooperativa la Fageda, wine and ratafia, a local herbal liquor.

Finally, we give you a flight diploma signed by the pilot.
